When I remember to ask, I get some great pictures of our guests. We love to hear conversation taking place at breakfast and there is always laughter! Thank you our new friends..
We just listed Maple Cove B&B with Winery Adventures. I had no idea we had that many tasting facilities near us. I am going to have to systematically check these out to make sure they are up to our standards…lol
check them out as well!!
On December 12th the Living Word Book Club had their Christmas gathering at the B&B. Mark was here to greet them upon arrival and I was home in time to enjoy a beverage with them and watch as they did their gift exchange and ended the evening with a delicious cake Linda made. It was a chocolate lava cake. Now I’m wondering, why can’t I make a chocolate lava pancake. I’m sure someone out there has.
I must say I was inspired by the comradery these women share over the love of books. I once read this quote by Gilbert K Chesterton, “There is a great deal of difference between an eager man who wants to read a book and the tired man who wants a book to read”
I love to read and do so most often at night before sleep ( I don’t think the light from my nook bothers Mark, hmmmm) and I go through them so quickly but now after seeing all the books exchanged at the gift exchange, I have a new list to pick from.
They gifted us with a wonderfully rich sounding wind chime that I am so looking forward to hanging in the spring out near the pool. Thank you ladies!!
We loved having them here and hope other groups will see us as a place to come and meet. Make sure you look a the pictures.
This wonderful article was submitted by our association and is a great reminder of the things to do in Rochester Michigan during the season.
With a wide range of restaurants to choose from, along with two wine tasting venues, (www.fieldstonewine.com and www.thumbsupmi.com) lots of quaint shops and friendly people, you will not lack for anything to do.
When our guests depart, I am always a bit sad but then I read the comments they leave for us in the books we have in each of the Suites for people to leave a comment or pray or suggestion. I have attached a few from the Hemingway suite. Thank you for the kind words. You know who you are!! To think that Leonard or as some know it, Addison Township, is getting more visitors. Our guests love the area, the restaurants, the ambiance and since many are from not too far away, the drive.
Today Mark and I met the Fruehauf family. Thank you Susie, Bud, Martha, Liz, Albert and families. They gifted us with the original guest book and as you can see, it started quite a few years ago. Susie heard I had Cecilia today and gifted her (which I am keeping at Nana’s house lol) with a book she has written and had published.
I can’t tell you how wonderful it was witnessing the joy of memories that they shared as they walked the house and property. I heard some really funny stories. Thank you for sharing your stories with us, and for gifting us with such wonderful history. We hope to add many more years and memories to it.
Here are some of the reviews we have received so far.
We’ve stayed at many B&Bs, and this was the loveliest by far. The rooms are actually suites with sitting rooms, and the decor is tasteful and so attractive. Lounging around the pool with its comfortable, fun furniture was a perfect way to spend an afternoon. And the breakfast was more like feast with a selection of homemade dishes, fruits, and beverages. The hosts make you feel right at home while giving you plenty of privacy. It was a treat from start to finish!
We had a pleasure of staying at Maple Cove B&B just few days ago at Hemingway Suite. We did not want to go home!!! Jan was most wonderful, helpful and I still miss her coffee and conversation. Mark was so nice to give us directions better then any GPS would. This B&B is dreamy, clean with a space to have a minuteto yourself and enjoy time with others on patio or game of pool. Please trust me you will Love it!!!!!!!
Thank you Jan and Mark for the truly wonderful weekend we had a few weeks ago to celebrate our 31st Anniversary at your beautiful and charming Bed & Breakfast. Even though it is only 5 miles from our home we will definitely be back when we need to get away from our busy hectic lives. Your place is beautiful and your hospitality is over gracious and your breakfasts are delicious!
We loved hearing about the history of your home and we are very glad that you unearthed the beautiful pool so many years ago.
We look forward to coming back again soon and will definitely spread the word that your place is a top notch B&B!
Beautiful home. Luxurious accommodations. Gracious host. Amazing food and reasonable price. You have to experience this. I’m totally spoiled after my visit. So want to go again. Five star*****
